Tuesday, November 19, 6:30 pm, Chiego Lecture HallDrawing upon two volumes of critically acclaimed essays, Martin Filler, Architecture Critic for New York Review of Books, offers a lecture focused on the effect architects, patrons, and communities have on what gets built and why. Filler discusses architects with strong Texas connections such as Philip Johnson and Renzo Piano, as well as recent controversial projects including The Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia and the National September 11 Memorial and Museum in New York.
